Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to support our Chartered Accountant firm in managing day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial reporting tasks. The candidate will work closely with senior accountants and auditors to ensure accurate financial records and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts (Purchase, Sales, Receipts, Payments)
- Record financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books)
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
- Assist in Income Tax return preparation and filings
- Handle bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits
- Prepare invoices, vouchers, and expense reports
- Assist in payroll processing and compliance (PF, ESI, PT)
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Coordinate with clients for required financial data and clarifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field with minimum 70 % Marks.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates preferred (optional)
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
- Familiarity with GST and Income Tax regulations
- Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Experience
- 0–3 years (Freshers can apply)
- Prior experience in a CA firm is an added advantage
Salary Range
- Depending on experience and skills
Working Hours
- Typically 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (may vary during audit/filing season)
